There’s a LOT going on out there … The world appears to be getting crazier and crazier … and I know I’m not alone in saying that there’s a lot going on internally too! There has been for a while and its going to continue …. But its always good to know / remember that there is a BIGGER PICTURE going on here … and that You Are Not Alone in this!
ROLLAR COASTER … Have you been feeling like you’re on a roller coaster where one moment you feel totally in flow with life, joyful, creative, synchronicities and even magic seem to be at play… Then, out of seemingly nowhere you are easily irritated, people trigger you, difficult emotions / thought patterns come up and your whole world is rocked? You may become overwhelmed by sadness, grief, loneliness, depression, anger, frustration, guilt, insecurity or anxiety … Have days where you wake up and feel like you were hit by a truck, and simply want to roll back over and hide under the covers for the day… ? No … fantastic, you’ve got your resources, map and compass and can navigate these waters with ease, or life is going quite smoothly right now … then this writing may not resonate with you … Yes … then I hope this post can be of benefit to you in some way ... Know that you’re not alone! You’re human and this is all very normal! MASSIVE PURGING We are in the midst of a massive purging right now… on all levels. So much light and higher frequency energy is pouring onto the planet … and just like pouring water into a glass of coca cola … the denser stuff (aka unresolved traumas, difficult emotions, beliefs, thought patterns, feelings, sensations) that are in there / in us … gets pushed to the surface and spill out… As this fresh clean water / light keeps pouring in, if we have ways to navigate what it is showing us, what is moving through us … we find that the container, our body / energy fields are getting clearer and clearer… once we don’t keep trying to push down, run from or hide these denser, more difficult energies or emotions … RESOURCES Is it easy? Sometimes you might feel that these are just ripples … where you get knocked off balance and out of your centre … but that you have resources internally or externally to move through difficult emotions / situations, bring yourself back to the moment, breathe … and come out the other side into sunnier, fresher pastures…. feeling relieved and ‘more yourself’ again. Other times … it can be a whole other story! IT’S TOO MUCH You may feel that sometimes the path gets too tough, where it all just gets too much, and that you’re not going to make it … The stronger the light that is pouring in, the more it permeates all aspects of your being, the more we access within … all those hidden parts … anything that we’ve pushed down, not dealt with, not wanted to see or acknowledge, forgot about … starts to get dislodged from its hiding place in the body / energy field and rises to the surface… It can feel overwhelming at times … CAN I THINK MY WAY OUT OF IT ? We are not just our thoughts, so thinking our way out of it solely, is not going to work … yes it can help to uncover negative belief systems, thought patterns and behaviours… but we have to allow ourselves … give ourselves time to feel and allow the sensations moving in our body … ALLOWING If we can let this happen … without resisting feeling what we are feeling, or overly falling into it and wallowing in it … feel the sensations, emotions, observe our thoughts connected to them … witness … feel … allow them to pass through … they will eventually pass! RESISTANCE IS FUTILE When we are in it, it very often does not feel comfortable … it can feel like a living hell! The more resistance we have, the more we fight it, or wish it wasn’t there, want to escape, ignore, deny that it is happening … the longer it takes to pass through and leave us …. So it keeps cycling back and repeating, often getting louder , life situations get more difficult, until we take the time to listen, witness, feel and acknowledge what is passing through … CLEANING IT UP Being able to navigate these waters in a ‘clean’ way … WITHOUT projecting our feelings out onto someone else or a situation (that may have triggered us) , blaming others, getting attached to the ‘story’ / situation that seemingly brought us into these uncomfortable states … is going to help you move through these states much faster. ITS NOT ABOUT THE STORY Getting attached to the story, blaming another person or situation, that may have triggered us, merely keeps the whole pattern playing out and in loops, until you step back, look at your part and work on that … Leave the other person / situation to do their part, which they may or may not chose to do … that is up to them … none of your business. CONSCIOUS COMMNICATION If they are prepared to consciously work it through with you from a non-reactive, non-blaming, non-judgemental, heart space then great. There is gold in there for all involved. If this is not possible, step back, go within and wait until you & they come back into the heart space … then you may be able to bring everything back to love. If this does not happen, gracefully leave the other person to their story / process and step back. SOME TIPS FOR ALONG THE WAY: - Know that when you experience difficult emotions, you are not alone, it’s a normal process, and a cleansing one - No matter how hard it seems, nothing lasts forever, don’t fight it, this too shall pass - Step back, breathe and try to find your centre - Take more time out if you can, rest, nourish yourself with good foods, good self care, spend time in nature, meditate, do yoga, exercise - Journaling can help to separate yourself from the raw emotions / sensations that may be arising - Some things might just be too difficult to go through on your own. Its ok to Reach Out, ask for help and support if you need to - Surround yourself with people who are supportive and who can resonate with where you are at - You may want to invest in time with a healer, therapist, guide to walk with you through the process NAVIGATING YOUR INNER LANDSCAPE - Separate yourself from the story - Slow down, breath into your body and try to get a sense of what’s going on in your inner landscape - Does your body feel tense or contracted anywhere? - Can you find the places in your body that feel relaxed and open? - Can you feel the support of the chair or what you are sitting on? - See if you can locate the emotion / feeling in your body - Bring your awareness to that area - Simply WITNESS the sensations there - Is there a shape, a colour a texture to it - Is there an inner image connected with it - Breath into it and simply observe these sensations - Without trying to change anything, notice if by witnessing this and breathing into this area, if anything changes - If it gets too overwhelming, find those places in your body that do feel good / bring to mind a supportive friend, family member, pet that loves you no matter what and feel their love for you - Go between Resourcing yourself and dipping into the sensations, being with the emotions, when you feel ready - Don’t force it or try to change it - Be the witness of all that is moving through you IF YOU ARE SPIRITUAL - ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE - There is so much assistance available to us, and really all we have to do is ask, send out a heart felt prayer - Invite in your Higher Self, your I AM Presence, your team of spirit guides and ancestors, whoever you connect to, that are in alignment with your highest good, to come and assist you through the process - they cannot interfere unless given permission - You may see it simply as your Inner Knowing / Intuition / Heart Space - Sit and connect regularly to build these higher / inner connections WHO YOU ARE REALLY Know that whatever discomfort that is arising is not who you really are. You are not the depressions, the sadness, the grief, the anxiety, the insecurity, the addiction, the loneliness. At the Core of who you are, you are none of these. These are merely unresolved aspects of you, of your inner child, core woundings, misunderstandings, patterns that are in need of being lovingly witnessed, held in a space of non-judgement and welcomed back to integrate with who you really are. All aspects of you lovingly returning home to yourself, the parts that were lost in pain, trauma and misguided beliefs/ways of operating. COMPASSION You never did anything wrong … You acted the best way you knew how to in any moment. Find a place of Compassion within, for yourself and your journey through life. You are doing the best you can with what you know. Learn from any past mistakes, take responsibility and make amends if you need to…. But don’t stay in bitterness, shame, blame or regret… This serves nothing and keeps you small. Have compassion for others as we are all on this journey, doing our best, tripping up, learning, growing and continuing on. Everyone goes at their own speed and level of awareness. No judgement. HEART SPACE Come back to your heart space as often as you can. Make your home a sanctuary, a safe space, where you can reset and restore. If this is difficult, find a place in nature, in your meditation, take time out of your regular routine to tap into this space. YOUR TRIBE Surround yourself with like minded people who lovingly accept you how you are, warts, mistakes and all … Together we can be stronger. If these people are not in your physical reality, find support groups, online forums where you resonate with like minded people, who understand what you’re going through. LAW OF ATTRACTION – AS WITHIN , SO WITHOUT We are energetic beings, meaning we are made up of physical matter which is composed of vibrating energy… When we clear out the denser energies within us, we naturally start to vibrate at higher levels … and it is physics then, that we attract and are drawn to people and situations that will match our vibration. We also need to give ourselves freedom and permission to allow that, listen to the inner guidance that comes and follow it. Play our part in the co-creation of it all. THE BIGGER PICTURE … Collectively, we are unhooking from a lot of old patterns, conditioning, ways of being and operating that are no longer serving us or humanity. We see this in every aspect of life now. The old ways are crumbing, the light is shining on aspects of the human behaviour that are difficult to comprehend / accept. We can get weighed down if we focus on all that is out of balance … All the ‘Crazy’ out there… All this was prophesised by many of the ancient wise cultures. Its time now for new ways, loving ways, sustainable, heart centred ways to be seeded and take root. People, Organisations & Projects with this as their focus are the ones that are going to Thrive. If you no longer are in resonance with what is happening in your life, in your world, its time to start visioning and creating a world that you would want to live in and be a part of. “BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THIS WORLD” – GANDHI IT’S A PROCESS This doesn’t happen over night… It’s a process… We can forget, get carried away by life’s circumstances … We need bucket loads of patience, self forgiveness, allowance for tripping up, making mistakes, being triggered, triggering others, repeating destructive patterns, running self criticising beliefs… Give yourself a break, be easy on yourself … Have some fun … Do things that you enjoy, that nourish you, that feed your soul. CLEAR VISION The more we do our inner cleaning work, the more we get clear on what is important to us … the more we can dream up what a meaningful, passionate, compassionate, inspired, authentic love filled life and world might look like. Have you been putting off a project, an idea that is in your heart, that would serve others in some way but have not given it space to be planted, germinated and take root? Have you listened deep within you to what your heart and soul is whispering to you. What feeds your passion, lights you up, fuels your fire? This aids us when we’re going through the stormy seas of what life may throw at us. Where is our ship’s compass pointed? What are our dreams, visions and purpose for our life and life on this planet? We get clear on what we don’t want in our life and in our world, and are prepared to let go of the old in order to give space to let the new in. This can also be a process. Step-by-step. Despite there being times when the ocean is wavy, and it may seem difficult to believe that we can weather the storms … we keep our sights on the land ahead, the fresh soil waiting for us to plant our seeds of new ways, new projects, ideas, a more heart centred, compassionate, passionate, joyful, peaceful, thriving world …. We are powerful co-creators. What seed are you planting for the life you want to have and the world you want to live in. If your vision has the intention to benefit the highest good of all …. Ciara Mc Ardle – Transpersonal Counselor and Family Constellations Facilitator
Ciara’s natural curiosity about life, people and love of travel and adventure have led her to explore many aspects of the outer and inner worlds. After completing a certificate in Outdoor Education and a degree in Science, she traveled to Australasia. When in Thailand she was inspired to sign up for a 10 day Vipassana retreat, knowing nothing about Buddhism or Meditation. That was in 1997 and it turned out to be a huge turning point in her life. It felt like a ‘homecoming’ where she touched a richer and deeper sense of reality. This experience has fueled her passion since, which involved wanting to find a way to integrate this experience into her life and work. She went back to Ireland, her native country, where she completed a Higher Diploma in Psychology. Disappointed that Psychology didn’t include the richness of soul and spirituality that she’d connected to in Thailand, she took up additional experiential training in Gestalt Therapy, which turned out to be a powerful journey into the world of processing emotions. She also started studying Tibetan Buddhism which she had a deep connection to, spending time since then in Tibetan communities around the world, attending teachings by the Dalai Lama and other inspirational Tibetan Lamas. Since graduating from Psychology in 2001 she has spent a lot of time working as an Outreach Support Worker in various settings in Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. She has worked with people with learning disability, autistic spectrum disorders and mental health issues. Alongside her work life she continues to pursue her passion for integrating Eastern wisdom into the Western world. She did some training in a Buddhist-based psychotherapy called ‘Core Process Psychotherapy’. She also continued to travel and explore many cultures, visiting many sacred sites around the world, attending teachings by inspirational teachers. In 2004 she found a teacher from Ireland and instantly resonated with his teachings and powerful transformational group work. Witnessing numerous and powerful transformations in people and in herself she continues to attend his workshops around the world and trained with him to also be a facilitator in the work. She took further academic training and qualified as a Transpersonal Counselor in 2008 which brought together many of her previous interests and trainings. After attending Family Constellation workshops she saw the power of working from a broader perspective with the systems we’re involved with, including family and ancestors. In 2010 she trained as a facilitator and with the same teacher she also studied NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and Quantum Healing. Having received so much from this training and these life experiences Ciara is passionate about sharing her experience and skills to support and empower people on their healing journey towards greater health and a sense of well-being, as well as to enable individuals to connect to their unique qualities, gifts and potential so that they can move towards creating fulfilling lives on all levels. Her approach is holistic, integrative and heart-centred. Ciara has been facilitating groups, counseling and coaching people in Ireland, Slovenia and Bali over the last few years. She is now delighted to have come full circle, back to Thailand where much of it began, working as a Life Coach and Therapist in New Life Foundation. |
